What Else You'll Bring to the Table
In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need:
A bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative field (Math, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration.)
The ability to identify underlying causes of business issues and recommend appropriate corrective action or problem resolution.
Extensive knowledge of internet/extranet technologies and analytics.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative analysis skills.
Extensive experience with web analytics tools (such as those by Omniture and 24/7 Real Media Open Ad Stream) and process management tools (such as Operative, fatTail or Solbright).
At least three years of experience in web and/or e-business analytics, at least five years of overall experience in Internet space, and at least ten years of work experience in analysis and business process development.
An understanding of interactive marketing concepts and strategies.
The ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks and projects simultaneously.
Consulting experience and experience with web site operations are both plusses.

Reporting to our Vice President, Finance, Operations, and Business Development -- Interactive, you will be the Division's go-to person for analysis, operations planning, and business process development for products, ad operations, sales channels, and site operations. Your mission will be to ensure that Freedom and all its business units are data driven and able to leverage analytics to gain a strategic competitive advantage. The role will cover four main areas: product/P&L analysis, web analysis, business process analysis, and marketing analysis.
With regard to product/P&L analysis, you will partner with Product Managers and General Managers of lines of business to make sure not only that they have the data they need, but also that they are able to make the most of that data. We have a number of different lines of business, including advertising in classified, employment, automotive, and other categories; display ads; search; and more. In addition you will spearhead initiatives that cross Freedom to probe for potential ways to improve revenue, and develop and implement tools and key performance indicators.
Your web analysis activities will include compiling, analyzing, and reporting statistics regarding all aspects of the performance of websites, including developing a web analytics infrastructure to facilitate reporting on key performance metrics, providing insights on customer behavior, and participating in design and site flow to make sure that all metrics are built into the system.
In business process analysis you will apply your technical expertise to enhance business operations, including both responding to problem areas and creating and managing proactive systems to continually improve overall operations management and financial results.
Your marketing analysis efforts will focus on collaborating with internal associates on cross-functional projects designed to improve the profitability and/or efficiency of existing marketing programs.
